Leeanne Darien

Before joining SDS Forth Valley, I spent four and a half years in the Health and Wellbeing field, supporting people with various long-term health conditions and challenging life situations. In recent years, I specifically worked with young people and their families, helping them navigate the transition from child to adult services. My focus was on helping them to build their confidence, connecting them to community resources, and helping them to identifying their personal outcomes. As a disabled person myself, my goal is to ensure everyone has access to the help and information they need to thrive.

I hold a Master’s in Health Psychology from the University of Stirling and an HNC in Community Brokerage from SDS Scotland.

In my personal life, I have been part of the wheelchair basketball community since the age of 18.
